The Arizona Board of Regents Finance, Capital and Resources Committee approved a motion to enable The University of Arizona to build a new $45M facility for Arizona Public Media.
AZPM’s new location would be south of The Bridges mixed-use tech complex near I-10 and Kino Parkway, site of the UA Tech Park.
The Bridges has 60KSF already under lease. The development is anchored by The Refinery at the Bridges, a 120KSF innovation-focused office facility developed in partnership with UA.
AZPM’s new facility will include a TV production studio and conference space for use by AZPM, UA and the area community. Plans are in the preliminary stages and are expected to take approximately 18 months, with another 18 months slated for construction.
