1. Concord General Contracting sponsored a superhero-themed adoption event at the Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center. Concord covered fees for every adoption. Three foster-to-adopts were completed and 27 pets were adopted, with three more adoptions pending.
Awards & Accolades
2. The Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and its Arizona Minority Business Development Agency Business Center have honored the Arizona Department of Transportation’s work with minority- and women-owned businesses. For the ninth straight year, ADOT has been inducted into the Arizona Million Dollar Circle of Excellence, established in 2012 to recognize entities spending more than $1M annually with minority- and women-owned businesses. ADOT awarded nearly $65M to these businesses in 2023.

3. The CCIM Institute announced at The CCIM Institute’s Annual Governance Meeting, Craig Finfrock has been elected to serve a second term as a member of the CCIM Institute’s Board of Directors. Finfrock also serves as a member of The CCIM Technology Board of Directors, The CCIM Foundation Board of Directors and is Vice Chair of CCIM’s Ward Center Subcommittee. Finfrock is also on the Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter Board of Directors. He has been a member of ICSC since 1986 and is a past member of the Arizona ICSC Board.

4. Mosaic, which bills itself as “the nation’s leading Build-to-Rent general contractor,” has celebrated the completion of its 1,000th single-family home in Arizona. Mosaic reached this milestone in four years. Of the 1,000 completed units, 550 are Department of Energy Zero Energy Ready Homes. Mosaic is currently building 13 Build-to-Rent projects and has delivered two communities in 2024, totaling 298 units in Phoenix and Gilbert.

5. McCarthy Building Companies hired Kendra Kim as VP of Electrical Prefabrication for Renewable Energy. Kim has 14 years of experience in operations and has overseen numerous manufacturing facilities across various industries.
6. Small Giants hired Jason Oxios as Director of Business Development and Client Care. Oxios brings more than 20 years of experience in the CRE and AEC industries.
