Groundbreakings
1. The next phase of development at Scottsdale One – a Hilton Home2 Suites hotel and retail, hospitality and medical office space – has begun. Developer DMB Associates, Inc. added $4M in improvements to the site’s existing infrastructure to facilitate the project.
2. Kitchell Development recently began construction on Elliot 94, a two-building, 214.5KSF industrial distribution complex at the NWC of 94th Street and Elliot in Mesa. Elliot 94 is a joint venture of Phoenix-based Kitchell Development and Park Ventures.
3. TYR Tactical recently broke ground on a third operations center: TYR 3. Half the space will be used for operations, while the other half will serve as an entrepreneurial incubator. A second building – TYR 4 – is planned for site on 91st Avenue in Peoria, and the two combined will total 184KSF.
4. Work has begun on IDM Companies’ Acero Harvest Station multifamily development – a 204-unit apartment community at Gary and Riggs roads in Queen Creek.
5. Centum Companies held a groundbreaking ceremony July 11th for the new Scottsdale Medical Pavilion, a new facility on East Osborn Road in Scottsdale.
6. Sonoran Crest Construction – in partnership with SCSA Healthcare Architecture and Planning – broke ground July 11th on the new 8.4KSF Apex Heart and Vascular Surgery Center in Glendale.
7. A 35KSF, $10M expansion is underway at Mekong Plaza in Mesa’s Asian District at Main Street and Dobson Road. Work is expected to wrap up in 12 months, and 60% of the planned space is pre-leased.
Progress Reports
8. Work has reached the halfway point on the $150M, 750KSF expansion of facilities at Falcon Field Airport in Mesa. The project will add 50 state-of-the-art hangars and office space for aircraft service-related businesses.
