Groundbreakings
- Advanced Industrial Park, a 20.77-acre, permit-ready site in Mesa, will break ground next month to deliver three Class A industrial buildings totaling more than 335KSF. ViaWest Group and Nicola Wealth Real Estate recently teamed up to buy the site for $9.69M.
- Willmeng Construction and VanTrust Real Estate have broken ground on a 154KSF distribution facility for Frito-Lay, the first project to get underway in the 350-acre Legacy Point Master Plan.
- JDM Partners announced it will begin work on Phase I of the planned renovations at the Biltmore Golf Club.
Progress Reports - Building Companies has topped out the University of Arizona Applied Research Building in Tucson. Completion is planned for January of next year.
- Conceptual design work has been completed and the International Dark Sky Discovery Center is on track to begin construction in November.
- The Arizona Department of Transportation has announced it will resume work to repave 11 miles of US 60 and SR 260 in Show Low this month. The projects are expected to be completed by the fall.
Completions - The 144-unit Christopher Todd Communities at Ellsworth Build-to-Rent development, the first to come out of the partnership between Christopher Todd Communities and Taylor Morrison, has completed its first phase of delivery. Phases II and III will deliver later this year.
- The Thunderbird School of Global Management celebrated the grand opening of its new downtown Phoenix campus with a weeklong series of events and an official opening and naming ceremony.
- Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center this week marked the completion of its $19.25M expansion on the Banner – University Medical Center Phoenix campus, to meet the community’s growing demand for more services to treat the disease.
