City officials are considering a change to the Surprise General Plan 2035 that would change more than 190 acres south of Pinnacle Peak Road and east of 163rd Avenue from commerce and office character to a neighborhood character area.
The proposal from EPS Group Inc. would enable the addition of more homes in the area and also provide improvements to 163rd Avenue without requiring a bond request.
The Surprise City Council is expected to vote on the proposal in its December 7th meeting. Approval would require a two-thirds majority. (Source)
