Design-build firm Clayco Inc. has announced it is relocating its residential business headquarters to Phoenix.
Clayco has a variety of projects in development around the Valley, including Skye on 6th, a 25-story tower at Sixth and Garfield streets, which it took over building for Hubbard Street Group when contractor Katerra Inc. filed for bankruptcy.
News reports also state Clayco is taking over construction of the 19-story X Phoenix tower at Second Avenue and Van Buren.
Clayco opened an office in Phoenix at 24th Street and Camelback Road in May, which will serve as the new HQ. The company has expanded its space to approximately 10KSF.
Clayco’s initial expansion into the Phoenix area was focused on industrial projects, including The Cubes at Glendale and the recently announced Cubes at Mesa Gateway. Its expanded efforts in the residential multifamily tower market include two as yet unidentified projects set to break ground in 2022. (Source)
