Groundbreakings
1. Ryan Companies and Cadence Living recently broke ground on the 147-unit Acoya Scottsdale at Shea senior/assisted living development. Also known as Acoya Shea, the project is expected to be completed in Q4 2023.
Progress Reports
2. Crews working on the Arizona Department of Transportation’s project to reconstruct the I-17 bridge over Central Avenue south of downtown Phoenix have opened the freeway to three lanes in both directions, lifting lane restrictions that have been in place since last year. The $13.5M project is scheduled for completion this fall.
3. W.E. O’Neil Construction is pouring concrete slab later this month at the Capri Eddy Hotel in Tucson. The 106-room boutique hotel is part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton.
4. Ashton Woods continues to progress on lot improvements at Amarillo Creek, a 600-home subdivision in Maricopa. Lots have been graded, underground utilities are installed and some road improvements along Papago Road are finished. All lot improvements should be completed in Q1 2022, with home construction to follow immediately.
