Groundbreakings
1. ViaWest has begun construction on the three building, 500KSF Converge Logistics Center near I-10 and Ray Road.
2. Construction started on a the 409-space Parking Garage at The BLVD in Avondale, which will replace the current park-and-ride facility and handle both transit riders and visitors to the planned mixed-use project.
3. The Related Group has announced the start of construction at Town Chandler Apartments, a 420-unit development at Frye and Ellis roads in Chandler.
4. Caliber Companies will break ground this month on The Commons of Mesa, a 144-unit affordable housing development on S. MacDonald Drive.
Progress Reports
5. The Desert Sunrise High School project in Maricopa continues to proceed on time and on budget. Since the beginning of the year, the tresses have been set, roof sheeting has been placed and foam roof insultation has been completed.
6. Cavan Companies’ 196-unit Bungalows on Bowlin, the first Build-to-Rent project in Maricopa, has completed site prep and will commence vertical construction within the next two weeks.
7. A September completion date has been announced for the extensive renovation project at the Gilbert Municipal Building. Renovations have included adding space for 50 more workstations, adding office space for Town Council members and replacing the HVAC system, among others.
