The Deer Valley Unified School District has approved a recommendation from the School Facility Oversight Board to include two new schools in the District’s FY25 Capital Plan.
The plan will include a new high school expected to be constructed by 2029 and a K-8 school expected to be constructed by 2032. Locations for the new schools have not yet been identified.
The Capital Plan is due by Oct. 1.
The last Deer Valley Unified school built was Inspiration Mountain Elementary, which debuted in fall 2022 and has infrastructure in place to expand from a K-6 campus to a K-8.
Approval comes after the anticipation of major housing developments in north Peoria, north Phoenix and north Glendale. (Source)
