A roughly 70-acre, three-project master plan development has received a recommendation for rezoning approval by the Coolidge Planning and Zoning Commission.
BSD Coolidge 26, LLC (Edgewood Development) wants to build a mix of commercial space, condominiums and rental units on three parcels at the SEC of Coolidge Avenue and Ninth Street. The parcels are currently zoned Agricultural.
The northernmost parcel (7.41 acres) would feature commercial services including retail and small business/commercial office space. The rezoning request is from Agricultural to General Business.
The middle parcel (20.38 acres) would be comprised of 221 multifamily units disbursed across 41 buildings. The units would be clustered in groups of five or six per building. Amenities include 7.9 acres of open space, a pool, a fitness center, turf areas and ramadas. The requested rezoning is from Agricultural to Multi-family Residential.
The southern parcel (42.43 acres) would offer 178 detached townhome condominium units. Amenities include 9.3 acres of community space, three playgrounds, turf play areas, and barbeque and shaded seating areas. Edgewood has requested a rezoning from Agricultural to a Planned Area Development.
PinalCentral reports the next step for the projects will be Edgewood Development’s submission of a major site plan.
