A pre-application request from Emmerson Holdings, LLC looks to develop 238 acres in the 487-acre Cortona master-planned community with a diverse assortment of housing options.
Cortona Phase II – located at the NEC of Hartman and Steen roads – would feature a mix of traditional single-family owner-occupied houses, Build-to-Rent, garden-style apartments, motel-style “auto-court” units and alley-loaded homes with small side and backyards.
Cortona was originally planned for all single-family homes, but the developer has modified the plan to provide a diversity of housing types and styles. Along with the residential units, the plan features a 10-acre commercial site and a five-acre section that may be used as a municipal park. (Source)
