Industrial and manufacturing projects continue to march steadily forward in Casa Grande, with two new projects coming before the Planning and Zoning Commission this week and another looking to continue its progress.
In the first of the new projects, Opus Development Company LLC (The Opus Group) is planning a new speculative light industrial project on 22 acres at the Confluence Industrial Park near Sunland Gin Road and Jimmie Kerr Blvd. Plans call for two buildings of 153KSF and 173KSF, both of which will have heights of 32 feet. The buildings will share an interior truck court, and a rail spur is also planned to the north of the site.
Southwark Metal Manufacturing Plant
The other newly proposed plan is a 140KSF manufacturing facility from Southwark Metal Manufacturing Company on Ash Avenue near Florence Street.
The 20-acre site will be used to manufacture metal components for air conditioning units. Another 140KSF is possible in a planned future expansion.
Project Oasis
The third project was first reported in February of last year. Semiconductor supplier LCY Electronic Materials has proposed an 80KSF electronic grade chemical manufacturing facility on 34 acres in the Central Arizona Commerce Park. Production will primarily focus on high-grade isopropyl alcohol for use in semiconductor production.
The October 6th P&Z meeting will consider a conditional use permit and site plan review for the development, which is also known as Project Oasis. (Source)
