1. The Phoenix Business Journal recently presented its Arizona Corporate Excellence – or ACE – Awards recognizing the Valley’s top private and fastest growing businesses. Chris Mihaletos of AIMS Companies was named CEO of the Year, and Sundt Construction, Inc. and Kitchell were recognized as the Valley’s fourth and fifth largest companies, respectively, in terms of 2020 revenues.
2. FSEC, a Gamewell-FCI Fire Alarm Systems distributor, has received the Honeywell Gold Award as a Fire Partner Award winner.

3. Christian Solorio was appointed by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to fill a seat representing Legislative District 30 in the Arizona House of Representatives. Solorio was sworn in on November 4th, and his term runs through 2022.

4. Rise48 Equity has formed Rise48 Communities to manage its properties. The first Rise48 Communities-managed property will be the 244-unit Marble Creek Apartments, which Rise48 Equity recently acquired for $62.3M and rebranded it as Rise Skyview.
5. Long-time commercial real estate broker Trisha Talbot has launched Doc Properties, a real estate investment services firm that serves healthcare practices and investors. Talbot brings 20 years of experience putting together healthcare real estate deals.
6. Synergos has announced it has added Brewer Companies – which includes Brewer Enterprises, Ben Franklin Plumbing AZ and Brewer Commercial Services – to its family of residential construction trade partners.
7. Luxury-oriented homebuilder Thomas James Homes Inc. will expand its operations to Phoenix. To handle the expansion, the firm has named Ryan Huffman as president of its Arizona division.
