    Awards & Accolades

    1. Menlo Group Commercial Real Estate announced that Mark Haslip has earned the SIOR designation from the Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS®. He is the sixth of Menlo Group’s nine advisors to win the designation.

    2. Ranking Arizona has released its list of the 2023 Top 10 Office Brokerages in Arizona. They are:

    1. Colliers,
    2. CBRE,
    3. Kidder Mathews,
    4. Menlo Group Commercial Real Estate,
    5. Avison Young,
    6. Davis Commercial AZ,
    7. Commercial Properties Inc.,
    8. Newmark,
    9. JLL, and
    10. Cushman & Wakefield.

    Promotions

    3. The City of Avondale has promoted Harold Siguenza to Public Works Assistant Director. He now leads the Field Operations Division, including solid waste and recycling, street maintenance, fleet maintenance and public transit.

    4. W.E. O’Neil Construction has promoted John Finn to the newly created role of Chief Operating Officer to better unify the firm across all locations. As COO, Finn will provide vision, leadership, and tactical guidance for national operations. Finn will retain his current leadership role as President of California while expanding into the role of COO nationally.

    5. FFKR Architects has named three new principals, two in its Salt Lake City office and one in Scottsdale. Jake Bodell has been leading FFKR’s team in Scottsdale, focusing on growth in the Hospitality Sector and has been instrumental in growing the company’s presence in the Arizona market since joining the firm in 2018.

    New Hires

    6. The City of Avondale has hired Eric Bay as Assistant Public Works Director. Bay leads the Utilities and Water Resources Division, managing all aspects of water services, utility-based CIP projects and sustainability.

    7. W.E. O’Neil Construction has announced two new hires. Alicia Cadriel has joined as Project Engineer, and Martha Rodarte has come on as Project Administrator.
