Giving Back
1. Arizona REALTORS are deeply involved in charitable efforts around the state. The group has contributed $15K to help non-profits build and maintain low-income and working-poor housing. The Central Arizona Association of REALTORS also supports a food drive for the St. Vincent de Paul and the Pine Strawberry Food Bank, donating $1 for every pound of food the food bank collects in its donation boxes. Lastly, CAAR provides $2,500 scholarships to seniors graduating from its local high school.
2. The Girls Can Build initiative is celebrating its first anniversary with the purchase of a vehicle for its Mobile Building Space. The traveling box truck will be previewed at next month’s Women in Construction Week. To date, Girls Can Build has raised 60% of the needed $250K to buy the Mobile Building Space, which will be operated by partners Girl Scouts- AZ Cactus-Pine.
3. Two Valley nonprofit agencies, Native Health and Catholic Charities Community Services, have been selected to receive new solar energy systems as part of the SRP Solar for Nonprofits program. The donated solar systems will be built on top of parking lot structures, or “solar canopies,” also donated by SRP Solar for Nonprofits.
4. Harvard Investments is partnering with Ryan House, a local nonprofit organization that relies entirely on community donations as it cares for Arizona’s most medically fragile children and their families. Led by Entitlement & Development Manager Christian Passalacqua, Harvard Investments will be collecting food, bedding, toys and funds from Feb. 13-March 3 for the children and families Ryan House serves.

5. VanTrust Real Estate Executive VP Keith Earnest has been selected for the NAIOP Arizona 2022 Award of Excellence, which will be presented at the Best of NAIOP awards ceremony April 27.
