    Giving Back

    1. Brycon was able to spread the Holiday cheer amongst 14 different families within the Phoenix Children’s Hospital Foundation. This was made possible through Brycon employee donations as well as subcontractor Stith Electric. With these generous donations, Brycon was able to raise more than $8K, which went to the PCH families for Holiday gifts and essential home items.

    2. Brycon received the ‘Chandler 100’ Award from the Chandler Chamber of Commerce. Moving up six spaces from last year, Brycon was ranked at Number 25 on a list composed of 100 great Chandler-based companies.

    Company News

    4. General contractor Brinkmann Constructors is nearly finished with renovations to its new Phoenix office at 6991 E. Camelback Road. Brinkmann has worked on several projects in the Valley and intends to pursue new opportunities in commercial, multifamily, senior housing and industrial with a locally based staff of 21 employees.

    5. Quarles & Brady LLP has expanded its operations and combined with San Diego-based employment law firm Paul, Plevin, Sullivan & Connaughton LLP. With the new addition, Quarles & Brady will have 11 offices in the U.S. and a total attorney roster of nearly 500.

    6. Commercial real estate industry leader and business development expert Cassie Wells has announced the formation of Modern Business Development. The firm will represent the niche market of subcontractors and service providers in Metro Phoenix who require business development services but aren’t ready to hire a full-time Director of Business Development. Wells will serve as CEO.

    7. MFRG-Icon Construction – a general contractor focused on the affordable housing market – has rebranded, taking the name ICON National and opening an east coast office in Nashville. Headquartered in Scottsdale, the company specializes in renovating existing multifamily communities and currently has projects in eight markets across the U.S.

    8. Transblue – a construction and project management company specializing in exterior design services for commercial, multi- and single-family properties – has opened a franchise in Scottsdale. It is the company’s first Arizona location. Franchise owner Joel McQuade is a former Xerox executive and private consultant.

    New Hires

    9. Kimberly Davids has joined Clayco as VP, Operations.

    10. ORION Investment Real Estate has brought on Garrett Hemeyer and Colt Siler as Senior Associates. The pair has focused on land and multifamily real estate.

    11. Tyler Stalica has joined W.E. O’Neil Construction as Assistant Superintendent.

    12. CBRE announced Griffen Tymins has joined its multifamily team to focus on Build-to-Rent investment sales across Phoenix and the Southwest.

    13. DCS Contracting has announced the recent hire of Liz Miller as Accounting Manager.
