Groundbreakings
1. Mack Real Estate Group has begun construction on the first part of its massive industrial development – Mack Innovation Park – on 19th Avenue north of the Deer Valley Airport. Sites A and C will eventually provide 917KSF of warehouse space between the two sites.
2. Construction has begun on Saiya, a Hatteras Sky development consisting of a 329-unit, 23-story apartment tower with 12.6KSF of retail at First Avenue and McKinley Street in downtown Phoenix.
3. The Town of Queen Creek has broken ground on Frontier Family Park, an 85-acre parks and recreation project with a recreation and aquatic center at Queen Creek and Signal Butte roads. Completion is targeted for year-end 2023.
4. Stevens-Leinweber Construction has started work on a 39.5KSF distribution center for Copper State Nut & Bolt Co. in the PV 303 industrial park in Goodyear.
5. Work has begun on the Schultz Creek Detention Basin project in Flagstaff. Under the flood mitigation project, 20 acres of City-owned land will be converted in multiple detention basins to capture floodwaters through and off of Schultz Creek.
6. The Arizona Department of Transportation is starting a pavement replacement project on SR 87 south of Payson. The project will start Sept. 6, north of the community of Rye and stretch nine miles up to Indian Road. Completion is expected next spring.
7. Legado Apartments has commenced construction in Prescott Valley. The 329-unit luxury multifamily project is being developed by the Fain Signature Group, with Todd and Associates as the Architect, Pono Construction serving as General Contractor and Bellwether Enterprise Real Estate Capital LLC providing financing.
Progress Reports
8. Supply chain issues and a change in contractors has led to delays on the Sunland Gin Road Project near Arizona City. Sunland Asphalt has now taken over the project and estimates a mid-February completion date.
