Progress Reports
4. Despite Phase I finishing early, the Arizona Department of Transportation’s project to convert the Miller Road and Watson Road I-10 interchanges to diamond divergent interchanges and add one travel lane has fallen behind schedule. ADOT representatives cite difficulties in getting deliveries for waterline supplies and other supply chain complications as the cause of the delay.
Completions
5. A new Lindsay Road interchange on the Loop 202 Santan Freeway – funded by the Town of Gilbert, the Maricopa Association of Governments and area developer contributions – is projected to finish late this month or early next.
6. Stevens-Leinweber Construction, Inc. has completed its fifth and newest campus for Vista College Preparatory, a tuition-free public charter school educating K-8 students in metro Phoenix. Called VCP-Metro North, the new 64.2KSF location on Peoria Avenue near I-17 is an adaptive reuse of an existing call center.
7. OHSO Brewery’s The Park in downtown Gilbert opened this week. The Park is a half-acre recreation area with an OHSO pub, grass lawn, event stage and retail space.
