    2. PK Associates recently congratulated the design and construction teams for two projects it was associated with for winning SEAoA Merit Awards. Both The Beam on Farmer and Banner Desert Medical Center Women’s Tower Expansion were honored.

    3. Virgin Galactic has said the company expects its spaceship assembly plant on South Sossaman Road in Mesa to be finished and operational in 2024. The site includes two buildings of 35.9KSF and 115.2KSF each. The facility was originally expected to open in late 2023 when it was announced last year.

    4. The $28M, five-gate, 30KSF new terminal annex at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport recently held a topping-out ceremony. Completion is expected in February.

    Completions

    5. Polish tech firm Comarch has completed construction of its 32.4KSF data center on South Ellsworth Road in Mesa.

    6. A.R. Mays Construction recently completed Pima Center Commons within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The $18M, 150.3KSF multi-tenant development provides opportunities to house retail, distribution, and industrial operations. A.R. Mays Construction partnered with MainSpring Capital Group, Butler Design Group and a team of consultants and trade partners on the project.

    7. The 126-room extended stay WaterWalk Tucson hotel has completed construction and opened for business near I-10 and Park Avenue.

    8. The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed interim repairs and improvements to increase the capacity of a stormwater drainage system along US 180 in northwest Flagstaff, in an area below the Pipeline Fire burn scar. ADOT and the City of Flagstaff collaborated on an accelerated project to repair the existing drainage pipe and add a second nearby 48-inch interim pipeline. Flagstaff provided an easement for the new pipeline.

    9. Semiconductor component manufacturer Yield Engineering Systems officially opened its 123KSF YES Advanced Technology Center on West Germann Road in Chandler following an extensive tenant improvement process to overhaul an existing industrial facility.

    10. Picklemall has completed its renovation of a 104KSF former retail location in Arizona Mills Mall and begun operations. The facility has space for up to 24 courts, with 16 courts in operation at the grand opening earlier this month.

    11. Renovations are in the final stages for the course update at Power Ranch Golf Club in Gilbert. The club will officially open next month.
