Lawmakers Trying to Push Through New Relief
Democrats and Republicans remain divided on what a next potential federal stimulus package should look like, but lawmakers “are going to be in an all-out sprint” to pass a measure soon, said Sen. Three Development Agencies Get Tax Credits
Three Phoenix-area community development agencies have been awarded key federal tax credits designed to spur real estate development in areas with high poverty rates and low median family incomes. Last week, the Treasury Department announced $3.5B in New Market Tax Credits for developing low-income communities. Dudley Ventures, Prestamos CDFI and the Phoenix Community Development and Investment Corporation received a combined $145M in credits for the most recent 2019 award cycle. NAHB Pushing Housing Priorities in Relief Package
As Congress begins work on its next coronavirus relief package, NAHB is urging lawmakers to include several provisions in the legislation that will provide relief to American home owners and renters, along with small and medium-sized residential construction businesses and multifamily owners and developers.
