Peoria to receive $20M in CARES Act fundsย
Theย City of Peoriaย is about to see some financial relief come its way to address the economic fallout of theย COVID-19ย pandemic.ย Theย State of Arizonaย has received $441Mย in direct, flexible funding to be disbursed to cities, towns and counties that did not receive direct federal funding thanks to theย Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, orย CARES Act.ย Of that, Peoria is due $20.2M, which will be paid back to the city in reimbursements.ย (Source:ย Peoria Independent)ย
