At the southeast corner of SanTan Village Parkway and Coronado Drive, Vedura Residential proposes to construct 214 luxury apartments to add to the 586-acre mixed-use project.
Reflecting an increased density consistent with the large population growth in that part of the Valley, the Town of Gilbert Planning Commission/Design Review Board indicates the proposed project is a good fit by recommending the rezoning and PAD amendment for approval to the Town Council. The Town approved the recommendation at the September 5th, 2019 meeting.
Positioned on an oddly shaped 7.61-acre parcel on the North side of Macy’s at the SanTan Village, the proposed project requested an increase to the current height limit from 35’ to 55’ and increased the current density limit from 22 to 34 DU/Acre. The design standards enhance the existing SanTan Village and add to the existing streetscape and landscaping around the Mall.
The pool and resident amenities are towards the center of the apartment complex, while five pedestrian points of access are designed to connect with the adjacent Mall. A dog park is also provided north of building two.
A mix of studio, one and two bedroom units are planned across seven buildings. Four of the buildings will house the majority of the units with three carriage-building units with garages placed under the units.
