The City Council approved on consent at its March 3rd meeting a MUMSP for the segment of the Indian Bend Wash between McKellips and Thomas roads, outlining design concepts for future upgrades for the area that includes Vista del Camino and Eldorado parks. City housing permits are up 322 percent since 2018, McFarland said. Permits for single-family houses this year have already exceeded 140 permits. Source: Associated Builders and Contractors Construction input prices fell 0.6 percent in February and are up 0.4 percent year over year, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Producer Price Index data. Nonresidential construction input prices also decreased by 0.6 percent but are up 0.3 percent compared to the same time last year. The three energy subcategories all declined from January, with crude petroleum down 16.3 percent, natural gas down 15.8 percent and unprocessed energy materials down 13.6 percent. The national rate increased to 3.6 percent from 3.5 percent in December. In January 2019, the state had a seasonally adjusted rate of 4.8 percent, and the national was at 4.0 percent. The state had a net loss of 47,300 non-farm jobs over the month, which is less than the historical 10-year (2010-2019) average loss of 51,000 jobs.
