In another of the proposed Scottsdale multifamily developments, Trend Homes is asking Scottsdale to approve a 52 unit townhouse development, 7777 E. Princess Blvd. between Scottsdale and Hayden roads. The project was previously approved and the applicant is seeking amended stipulations and a new site plan approval for the development. A cluster of duplex and fourplex town homes are proposed on 4.94 acres.
The tri-level units include a two-car garage, utility and bonus/home office room on the lower floor, bedroom and dining areas on the middle level, an outdoor terrace and living area on the upper level. The contemporary units are projected at around 2,400 SF. Yard area, plus the upper level terrace and mid-level balcony, give each unit around 1,20- SF of open space. Elbracht Company, LLC designed the project for Trend. A GC has not yet been named for the project. The first planning commission hearing is October 24th.
The new project is an ultra-contemporary design with significant glass.
Originally, Resort Residences proposed an All Suites hotel for the site with 86 units. The development incorporated 13 three-story hotel buildings, along with 2 two-story buildings and similarly tall office suite. The architecture at that time was the traditional Scottsdale blend of Old World Spanish and modern Tuscan.
