More than 600 properties in Scottsdale will be removed from a floodplain because of the Granite Reef Watershed Drainage Improvements Project.
Scottsdale, the Flood Control District and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community will share the cost of the project, with the initial phase estimated at $3.5M. The complete project is expected to cost $24M to $28M.
