QuikTrip Corporation will build a new 5,800SF store on the southeast corner of 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road pending final Phoenix City Council approval of a rezoning and general plan amendment request expected later this month.

The request would change the designation for just over 14 acres from residential to commercial. QT’s station will sit on a net parcel of 2.4 acres. At the city’s request, the company’s general plan amendment proposal covers an adjacent Legacy Suites Extended Stay Hotel and is intended to ensure future development is compatible with surrounding land uses.

QT has more than 700 locations in 11 states and employs more than 18,000 workers.
