In a project expected to begin in May, Pinal County Public Works will reconstruct Bella Vista between Gantzel and Hunt Highway.

Celeste Pemberton, Area 2 project manager with Pinal County Public Works, said the county will also install new traffic signals, at Empire Boulevard and Gantzel, and at Ironwood Drive and Chandler Heights Boulevard. These two intersections currently are without traffic signals.

Additional work on Hunt Highway between Thompson Road and Empire Boulevard began this month and is expected to last more than a month.

Utility improvement work continues on Gantzel near Pecan Creek Drive.

Crews this year will widen Gantzel from Bella Vista to Omega Drive, and improve the existing traffic signal at the Gantzel-Bella Vista intersection.
