Turbo Resources Plans Whse, HQ in Chandler

Aircraft parts distributor Turbo Resources has plans to build a new 253KSF warehouse and company headquarters on 18 acres at the NEC of Arizona Avenue and Palomino Drive in Chandler. The plan includes nearly 45KSF of office space with a mezzanine level.

According to plans filed with the city, the project will roll out in two phases. In phase two, an additional warehouse facility of nearly 177KSF will be constructed later, and the two may be connected. Loading and unloading will operate on the east elevation and will be screened by a decorative eight-foot masonry fence.

The phase one architecture reflects Turbo’s aircraft industry affiliation and makes use of metal panels, wall plane variations and varied roof heights. Parking canopies feature angled and elevated roofs to resemble wings. A large airplane inspired art piece will be located near the building entrance. The office component is along Palomino, as is the main entrance.

In phase one, both street frontages and the north property line will be landscaped. The landscape design calls for palo verde, acacia, mesquite and other trees, as well as variety of shrubs including sage and jojoba. The eastern property line will be landscaped in phase two.
