The City of Tempe currently lists 92 ongoing projects in various stages of development and review.
Six projects are under review for planning entitlements, including the 1.3MSF, 551-unit multifamily and retail The Pier at 1190 E. Vista del Lago and the 221KSF office space at The Grand (Bldg. 1) on West Washington Street.
There are 15 projects shown as approved/entitled. The largest of these is the 1.15MSF 7th Street Mixed Use development (AZBEX, June 2), which features 444 residential units and 230 hotel rooms at 110 E. University. Also shown is the 260-unit multifamily University 2.0 (AZBEX, Aug. 18) at 920 S. Terrace Road and the 262-unit senior housing development Villas at Southbank (AZBEX, July 30) at 1122 E. Vista del Lago.
Fifteen projects are also shown as being under plan review for their building permits, including the 511KSF Lakes Country Village on East Baseline Road and 612KSF multifamily/mixed use 1000 Apache development.
Building permits have been issued or construction is underway on 38 different projects.
Included are the more than 2.1MSF State Farm at Marina Heights (AZBEX, May 18, 2013; July 2, 2013; Aug. 2, 2013) mixed use development, 810KSF of office and parking for Liberty Center at Rio Salado (AZBEX, Feb. 18, 2014; Mar. 28, 2014) , the 525KSF multifamily Salt (Lofts at Hayden Ferry Lakeside) (AZBEX, Jan. 17, 2014) on Rio Salado Parkway, a 228KSF mixed-use/residential development known as The Standard on Broadway, and the 319 KSF mixed use/residential/retail The Motley (AZBEX, June 9) on Apache Boulevard.
Eighteen projects have been finished and are under review for certificates of occupancy. These include the 600KSF Skywater at Town Lake and 497KSF 1010 Lemon (AZBEX, Aug. 16, 2013) mixed use developments.
