Taylor Morrison plans to build 24 single-family luxury homes on 1.9 acres at 3510 N. Miller Road in Scottsdale.
Located just north of Miller and Osborn roads at 3510 N. Miller, the development will replace a vacant single-story apartment complex with three-story homes and amenities.
Influenced by developments in the Bay Area of California, the 1,800-2000 SF homes will feature balconies and private yards, as well as a central pool area. Access and amenities are planned to promote residents’ use of multiple modes of transportation, including pedestrian paths, bicycling and the Downtown Trolley, as well as traditional vehicle use.
Developers are promoting the site’s proximity to both Downtown Scottsdale and to surrounding green belt and park areas in statements that offer “the best of both worlds”.
In an overview narrative provided to the City of Scottsdale, the developers say since the site is not located in a historic district, their goal is to elevate, “…the architecture toward something new and defining,” rather than imitate the look and feel of surrounding developments.
