A mixed-use project called Bahia Live, Work, Play will be built just east of the Loop 101 and south of Bell Road in Scottsdale.

The 4.3-acre site is bounded on the east by 92nd Street and on the north by Bahia Drive, previously called Aire Libre.

Plans call for 64 individual ground-level office spaces with loft-style residential units above. The three- and four-story buildings, 30 to 42 feet high, will have roof-top gardens and patios as well as balconies on the upper levels and a community swimming pool.

Plans call for 12KSF for retail and restaurant, 35KSF for condominiums, 165KSF for townhomes and 90Kdf for office/studio space. A hub at the corner of 92nd and Bahia will include business/employment support services, such as a printing and shipping service as well as a coffee shop and/or restaurant.

The project has a flexible floor plan, providing the ability to have up to 14 work/live loft units above the restaurant/retail in the corner building. The four-story building will have two elevators that open to the work/live suites and can also take guests to the rooftop patio and seating area.

The project received Development Review Board approval and could break ground soon.

The landscaping includes a lot of salvage material that will be reused, including palo verde and mesquite.
