The Chandler City Council on April 23rd approved a 29-acre rezoning, Price and Willis roads, from agricultural to commercial to make way for Douglas Allred Company’s latest large-tenant business park.
The site, in the South Price Road Employment Corridor, was initially a part of a larger plot on which San Diego-based developer Douglas Allred Company requested a general plan amendment to build multitenant buildings (AZBEX, December 28th).
That amendment request was been withdrawn and the proposal for this plot fits with the current General Plan requirements, Chandler Planning Manager Kevin Mayo said.
The preliminary development plan for Allred Park Place, which was approved by the council April 11, calls for a business park with as many as two individual employers.
Most action involving development on the Price Road corridor has been on hold as the city studies whether to adjust its development plan for that area. Chandler hired the Maguire Company, which plans to issues its recommendations within a month.
