From the hole that was once Oakville Grocery, Restoration Hardware rises in a two-story, 24K SF retail store at the corner of Butherus and Scottsdale roads in the Scottsdale Quarter. The Nelsen Partners Inc. design creates a formidable, neoclassical style complementing the new urbanism of Kierland Commons and contemporary urban district design in the Quarter. The Scottsdale Design Review Board has approved the plans, and construction by GC Whiting-Turner Contracting is already underway.
Restoration Hardware will make the move from its single level retail store across Scottsdale Rd. in Kierland Commons when construction is completed in early 2013. The new building will more than double the store’s show space. The building is coated in Venetian plaster with black powdercoat on all the exposed metal surfaces. The pedestrian access is terraced to maintain a walker-friendly environment. A circle drive provides for loading and valet service.
