A report published last week by JLL shows the Phoenix area continues to generate strong demand and growth in the Data Center market.
The market overview for the firm’s Data Center Outlook says, “Demand has been driven by increase in cloud computing and software-as-a-service companies, organic growth for existing tenants and enterprise migrations transitioning infrastructure and software needs to private and public clouds.”
The report says the market is well positioned to appeal to cloud computing providers as demand continues to grow.
Users have seen new construction and operators entering the market and providing greater options and more solutions. Providers, the report says, are “racing to construct and commission space,” and they are working with current customers to expand and renew.
Supply levels are interesting, with current totals at 1.15MSF/145 MegaWatts, only 40.4KSF/10MW of which is vacant. The report lists 363KSF/38MW under construction and 312.9KSF/46MW planned.
