The Development Review Board will consider a plan to build a new hangar at the Scottsdale Airpark.
Triple C Airpark Properties, LLC filed their project narrative for Levitz Hanger, a new 12.6KSF building that will span an adjacent pair of properties at 14818 and 14840 N. 74th St. This would be comprised of 7,360SF of hangar space, 2,620SF of office and shop space, and 2,620SF of storage space on a mezzanine level above the offices.
Design of the new building will feature slate gray tilt slap wall, entry area storefront glazing walls, rusted metal shade screens and tilted column supports for the shade screens. The tilt slab walls will maintain a consistent 36’ height around the building with a series of horizontal reveals to produce visual interest.
“The project will complete and enhance the appearance of 74th Street by providing a developed desert landscape consistent with the existing landscaping of the neighboring properties,” according to the developer’s submittal. “The retention basins, parking screen walls and spacing of the landscape open spaces is consistent with the design of front yards throughout the airpark.”
