Hines has announced the sale of 3.25 acres in the Chandler Viridian space at Loop 101 and Loop 202 in Chandler’s Price Corridor.
The purchase by Chandler Viridian Retail LLC marks the last land sale for the area’s 25-acre master plan. The space will be developed as Chandler Viridian PRIMEGATE and will feature 24KSF of “elevated restaurant and retail” complementing Chandler Viridian’s multifamily residential, Class-A office and hotel development. Chandler Viridian Retail was formed by WINLEE Development, a division of Winfield Lee Investments.
PRIMEGATE is on the hard corner of Price Road/Loop 101 and Frye Road. Frye Road is the initial access point to Chandler Fashion Center, and PRIMEGATE is intended to serve as the “front door” of Chandler Viridian, connecting its pedestrian promenade to the mall.
As part of the announcement, WINLEE President and CEO Peter Nelson said the combination of Chandler Viridian amenities such as jogging trails, a dog park and the pedestrian esplanades, combined with the firm’s architectural vision, will enable convenient access and parking for off-site patrons looking to make use of the development’s overall offerings.
According to Winfield Lee, some tenants have been selected but cannot be disclosed until agreements are fully executed. The company says it remains in active negotiations with multiple candidates for the available space.
