1. AZLoop, Arizona’s SpaceX Hyperloop competition team, debuted its chassis pod half-size prototype and carbon fiber cover this week as one of the finalists helping to bring high-speed mass transportation closer to reality. The 100-plus Arizona State University student-led team is preparing for the final competition Aug. 27 at SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorne, Calif.

2. Ability Remodeling and Home Services LLC announced Mike Daniel recently earned the prestigious Master Certified Remodeler status from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Daniels is 1 of only 2 Master Certified Remodelers in Arizona and 1 of 79 in the entire U.S.

3. The International Interior Design Association’s Southwest Chapter celebrated the individuals who have greatly contributed to the profession and the exemplarily design work of different architecture firms at the 21st Annual Professional Recognition for Interior Design Excellence (PRIDE) Awards. 4. Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation, a Phoenix-based nonprofit organization that provides service-enriched housing programs for residents of rental housing communities throughout the country, has been selected by Reliant Group Management as the service provider for La Palmilla Apartments, a 267-unit apartment complex in Phoenix.

5. Design-build firm Cambridge Companies has announced the opening of a new office in Arizona at the Scottsdale Air Park. The new office will initially house a staff of 3-5 professionals including a design project manager, a construction project manager and a strategic account manager.


6. Tracy Doren has been hired as Programming and Outreach Manager at Downtown Chandler Community Partnership, Inc.

7. KEAR Civil Corporation has hired Mike Gruey as Director of Construction.

8. Gunn Communications, Inc. has announced Brock Barnhart has joined its team. He will lead the firm’s marketing and business development efforts along with serving clients’ public information, public involvement and other communications needs throughout Arizona.
