The Phoenix City Council at its July 1 regular meeting will consider a developer’s plan that would bring a hotel and office building to the SEC of 28th Street and Camelback Road.
Developer LaPour Partners, Inc. wants to assemble two parcels to build the 4.87-acre project, which would include a four-story office building and a five-story hotel. The two new buildings would replace a pair of office buildings built in the mid-1970s.
The office building will have 115KSF of space and the hotel will have 160 rooms and encompass 96KSF of space. With a maximum height of 58’ 10”, both buildings will have a frontage along Camelback, with the majority of the project placed within 18’ of the sidewalk. Road access will be present along both Camelback and 28th Street – but no street access will be provided along 29th Street.
Parking will be provided in below-ground structured parking with a total of 329 spots in two levels. Surface parking behind (to the south of) the new buildings will add 155 spots for a total of 484 parking spots.
