Plans for a 225-unit, 24-hour assisted living community known as Renaissance PebbleCreek were awarded a use permit last month by Goodyear’s Planning & Zoning Commission.
The nine-acre site, located at the southwest corner of PebbleCreek Parkway and Clubhouse Drive, will feature a 309KSF, three-story building with 193 one-bedroom and 32 two-bedroom assisted living units. Floor plans range from 750-1,250SF. The facility will also feature activity centers, a salon, dining, chapel and gathering areas.
The project narrative calls for a Modern Contemporary aesthetic with a flat roof of varying heights. Massing will be colored in earth tones and accented with faux stone veneer at the entries and patio locations.
Other features include decorative balcony railings and accent trim moldings. Plans also include a variety of landscaped areas and exterior courtyards to provide outdoor amenity opportunities. Landscaping will reflect the palate of other communities in the PebbleCreek Master Plan area.
In reviewing the request, planning staff noted providing an assisted living development adjacent to the area’s existing active adult community will enable residents in the area to transition their living situations as needed without having to leave PebbleCreek.
Construction is hoped to begin in early summer.
