Glendale OKs Dignity Health ER Project

By Matthew Roy for Arizona Builder’s Exchange

The Glendale City Council at its May 24 meeting approved a rezoning and general plan amendment request, which clears the way for development of a new hospital emergency room at the NWC of 83rd Avenue and Camelback Road.

The 8,200SF Arizona General Hospital ER will be the newest for Dignity Health, which operates similar facilities in Glendale, Chandler and Laveen. Their newest ER will be located at 8310 W. Camelback Road and will be built on a vacant 1.88-acre parcel.

Dignity Health has engaged GSR Andrade Architects for design. Kimley-Horn is Civil Engineer, Landscape Architect and planner for the development.

No GC or project timeline were identified in the project submittal.
