A civil engineer and a GC have yet to be hired to build a 102KSF personal storage facility on six acres near the southwest corner of Val Vista Drive and Germann Road in Gilbert.
The one-story, primarily air conditioned project is one of the national chain Public Storage, based in Glendale, California. It is designed by architect RKAA for the owner, LDR, LLC. The landscape architect is Laskin & Associates Inc.
Zoning attorney Paul Gilbert, who declined to specify the estimated construction cost, said the owners hope to break ground in about nine months with a construction schedule of less than a year.
“It will be a very high-quality project,” Gilbert said. “It will be one of the nicest mini-storage units built in the Valley. They’re going to put a lot of quality in landscaping and the entry features and the building itself.”
The project is expected to go before the Gilbert Planning and Zoning Commission in about a month.
