SanTan Development Group will move forward on SanTan Village plaza project featuring eight new retail shops at the northeast corner of E. Pecos Boulevard and S. Market Street in Gilbert, after the town’s Design Review Board approved plans earlier this summer.
Planned sizes for tenant spaces from 1,430SF to 3,500SF. Design plans also include two patio spaces, 450SF and 850SF, that may be used for restaurant spaces.
Pedestrian access to the patio spaces will be facilitated by a sidewalk from East Pecos Road, which will then continue between a breezeway to the interior of the center. Pedestrians will also be able to access the center from a Market Street walkway.
Existing nearby businesses include Costco, WinCo Foods and National Bank of Arizona.
Landscaping will consist of five types of trees and eight types of shrubs. Two types of ground covers will also be used. The building surfaces will be a mixture of desert-friendly colors and consist of concrete and cultured stone with metal accents.
