Chicago-based CA Senior Living Holdings has requested input from the Gilbert Planning Commission on plans to develop a nearly 99KSF, two-story senior living and care facility on 4.59 acres at the SEC of East Morrison Ranch Parkway and Higley Road.
The facility will feature 32 memory care and 83 assisted living units in a large ranch home-style building. Assisted living spaces will be offered in studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts ranging from 373-1,040SF. The memory care units will be studio-sized from 272-370SF.
Walking paths are planned throughout the site, including a connection to an existing path along the southeast of the property. Other outdoor amenities include a sensory garden, shade ramadas and raised vegetable gardens.
Building materials include cast stone, concrete board siding and a concrete shingle roof. Colors will be grey, white and bronze. Two interior courtyard areas will feature vinyl fencing with stone veneer columns, and the entire property will be surrounded by a white two-rail fence in keeping with the character of other properties in the area.
Landscape design includes citrus trees, ash, oleander and bougainvillea. An emergency access route encircling the property will feature turf block similar to other Morrison Ranch properties.
CA Senior Living Holdings, a division of CA Ventures, is the owner. CA Ventures was founded in 2004 with a primary focus on student housing. Since then, the company has expanded to include investment and acquisition support, development, management and debt sourcing in senior living, multi-family, office and hospitality.
