CMAA Partnering with Prefab/Offsite Construction: A Collaborative Process @ Phoenix Country Club
Apr 12 @ 7:30 am – 9:00 am

Prefabrication and related off-site construction methods have been transforming the construction industry by increasing efficiency, optimizing labor, and lowering costs with improved speed to market. Could prefabrication be the answer to the current shortage in skilled labor?

Expectations are high, but promises of better speed and accuracy have not been fully realized here in the US, with slightly over one-third of projects making good use of prefabrication techniques.

Our speakers will provide an overview of prefabrication methods, with differing viewpoints from an independent fabrication specialty firm and a subsidiary of a major construction firm, discussing the cultural shift that needs to occur for a better adaptation of prefabrication techniques.
