DESCRIPTION

As the CMAR on the South Central and Northwest Extension Phase 2 light rail projects, Kiewit invites potential subcontractors, workforce development partners, and interested community members to learn more about the “work” of light rail construction. This session will provide an overview of the type of work expected on light rail and discuss the lessons learned for those contractors who are new to light rail construction. We will begin the meeting with an overview of Kiewit’s approved workforce development plan, and feature four community partners that can help subcontractors address each of the major efforts: Recruit, Hire, Train, Retain.

Agenda highlights:

Workforce Development Plan Overview: Recruit, Hire, Train, Retain

  • Featured Guests: Recruit, Hire, Train, Retain
  • Measuring the Benefits: WFD Metrics

Kiewit hosts subcontractor trainings approximately once each quarter to update the subcontracting community about opportunities on these projects.
