As a follow-up from our April 19th Blog, “Michelle’s Mini Illustrator Tutorial.” In addition, to the AZ market trend towards graphics for aesthetic appeal and a creative way to save space. SMPS Arizona is excited to offer a beginner training course for Adobe Illustrator. We have enlisted Paige Lock, graphic designer/owner of Paige’s Pages, adjunct professor for Scottsdale Community College and board member for Adobe User Group to navigate us through this program.
During this session you will learn how-to get started, document set-up for success, text, colors, layers, drawing, effects and the all-important pen tool!

Whether she is designing a layout in Adobe InDesign, teaching students or working in the pottery studio, being creative makes her happy. Paige is a Graphic Designer and owner of Paige’s Pages. Paige’s Pages is a design company focusing on all aspects of graphic design, with an extreme respect for meeting deadlines and helping companies promote their businesses. She is Adjunct Faculty at Scottsdale Community College in the Graphic Design department which is a proud winner of the Frederick D. Kagy Excellence in Education Award, naming them as one of the best in the nation. Paige enjoys her teaching experience at SCC helping students maximize their potential. Paige is a Board Member of the Graphic Communications Education Foundation and the Phoenix Adobe InDesign User Group. She sits on several Arizona High School Advisory boards for CTE Graphic Design programs and is a judge for Regional SkillsUSA competitions.Paige holds a BFA in Ceramics from Arizona State University and an AAS in Graphic Designfrom Scottsdale Community College.
