A new, two-building retail center could be going up on 2.4 acres near the NEC of Higley Road and Loop 202 in a currently un-annexed portion of Gilbert. The Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Commission recommended conditional approval of a request to re-zone the property from rural to commercial last month. The Board approved the request in its October 5 meeting.
The initial concept calls for an 11KSF retail building and a 4KSF restaurant space with a drive-thru. The Town of Gilbert expressed support for the rezoning and will provide sewer and water service after the property is annexed.
Juanita Moore and Thomas Kelly are the property owners. HILGARTWILSON is the Civil Engineer and produced the conceptual site plan for developer, Arrow – T Land and Cattle Company.
No development plan or schedule has been created yet.
