Gas Station, Convenience Store, Car Wash Coming in 2016

DMB Verrado has announced its first pad sale in the new Marketside district in Buckeye. The 1.6-acre space will be developed into a Corner Store self-service gas station, car wash and convenience store by buyer CST Brands, Inc.

Opening for the new store is expected early in 2016.

Marketside, billed as, “The Gateway to Verrado,” is a 60-acre planned mixed-use district intended to serve both the Verrado community and the area at large. Maintaining a compatible look and feel with the community, Marketside pads could ultimately include restaurant, retail, medical, hospitality and residential uses. The district is located at Verrado Way south of McDowell Road.

As it grows, the plan for Marketside is to create a regional draw for shopping, dining, residential and employment opportunities to Verrado and the surrounding area.

Verrado’s total land entitlement covers more than 4.2MSF of commercial space, a significant portion of which includes Marketside district.

Verrado currently houses more than 8,00 residents. The area is entitled for 14,000 homes spread over 8,800 acres. Victory at Verrado, the first 55+ active adult phase of the community, began selling in January. It will eventually encompass approximately 3,500 homes.
