Each year, thousands of visitors from Canada spend the winter months in Casa Grande. And while in town, they spend money, buy goods and eat in area restaurants.
Because of the annual influx of winter visitors, one group of investors say Casa Grande is the ideal spot for a new Canadian-based franchise restaurant.
Casa Grande businessman Piyush Patel, along with Smita Patel and Canadian investors Sariena and Ken Cline and Marina and Jeff Stephenson, plan to open a new Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar on Cacheris Court, near Florence Boulevard.
Because the brand is well known in Canada, they believe it’ll be a hit with Casa Grande’s winter visitors.
The new Boston’s Restaurant and Sports Bar is expected to open in the fall. The restaurant is described as casual, family-friendly and sports-focused and offering “two concepts under one roof,” according to the press release.
A portion of the restaurant will be sliced out to accommodate an arcade dubbed the “Fun Zone,” which aims to become a spot for birthday parties and other gatherings.
In June, the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved final development plans for Casa Grande’s 11KSF restaurant.
It will be built at 804 N. Cacheris Ct. and could create between 50 and 100 jobs in Casa Grande, according to a press release.
