HMC Architects is handling design and Kitchell is the GC for four medical center projects totaling $45.2M for Banner Health. The neighborhood center locations for the facilities in Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler and Mesa will open in mid-2013.
At 21K SF, the facilities will provide a mix of primary family care with limited specialties—based on the market area—and will help feed more serious cases to Banner hospitals. Services will be drawn from a mix of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics and, in some cases, Obstetrics and Gynecology. The health care company anticipates rotating physician specialists between the facilities to meet patient requirements.
Implementing electronic medical records, basic imaging and laboratory services onsite will be connected to the 14 Banner hospitals and other facilities. The centers are design for expansion as needed handling increases in staff and size.
